Full Membership of EBKA includes membership of the following insurance schemes:
Public liability Insurance
The £10 million Public & Product Liability Insurance for BBKA members was renewed 4-10-23.
The Public & Product Liability Insurance Confirmation Letter for those members who need to provide certification for e.g., hiring a market stall, is available to download from the bbkanews.com website. You will need your membership number and postcode to login. From the 'Select Publication' drop down menu, click on BBKA Documents.
We have worked with the insurance brokers to review and expand the FAQs document (click here) to include more clarity in regards to members who generate income from their hobby - see the frequently asked questions section for clarity. Please share this document with your members.

Bee Disease Insurance (BDI).
Included in the 'FULL' membership fee is cover for up to three colonies (nucs count as colonies). Cover for additional colonies incurrs supplementary charges as follows:
Up to 5 colonies (including the basic three) an additional £1.20
Up to 10 colonies (including the basic three) an additional £4.70
Up to 15 colonies (including the basic three) an additional £7.75
Up to 20 colonies (including the basic three) an additional £9.50
Up to 25 colonies (including the basic three) an additional £11.10
